Wednesday i spent 13 hours watching every video posted as a response to the original vlogbrothers video and commenting (300+ videos). Today i spent about ten hours commenting like crazy with everyone else to bump videos up onto the most discussed list. 

I figure I can't donate money but I donated my time and it was fun and very rewarding and I met some really awesome people.


now i'm resting.

So, around the holiday season the saying usually goes "it is better to give than receive," and the way some people do that is by giving to charity. Now before you stop reading this just please hear me out, this is a really good thing I'm trying to promote here. Last year the vlogbrothers on youtube created a project to take over youtube for one day by getting people to make videos promoting their favorite charities, it was called "Project for Awesome," and it was a success.

This year they are doing it again Dec 17 & 18. The goal is to get as many "project for awesome" videos on the main page as possible, and the way we do that is by going around and watching project for awesome videos, then rate, comment, and favorite them so that we can trick youtube into getting them in the most discussed, most viewed, most favorite lists. When you think about it we are kinda like ninjas. Awesome ninjas.

I know this year times are hard financially, I personally have no money to give, but instead I'm donating my time by spending the next two days going around youtube and watching these videos in attempts to get them on the front page, and on these lists, so that people who DO have the money to spend might be inspired to donate.

Please if you have some time to kill, if you are bored at work, or whatever, please go and check out some of these videos and at least rate and comment on them. It's for a really good cause. Sometimes it's hard to believe we can make a difference, its only two days out of the year after all, but maybe come Dec. 19th the world is just a little bit better because of it.

I realized that i have mentioned the Green brothers (creators of the concept of "nerdfighter" and brotherhood 2.0) on livejournal a few times but i have never really good pimp post. I feel like some of you out there on my friends list are nerdfighters, you just don't know it yet. If you are or have been at one time: into harry potter, a band geek, good at math, love to read, addicted to video games, enjoy eating peeps, etc. you are probably a nerdfighter. So i'm going to take this opprotunity to expose you to the awesomeness that is John and Hank Green so that your life too can be changed.

Yesterday i was fortunate enough to find a ride to Ann Arbor (thanks to MJ & Lysh!) to meet John & Hank IN REAL LIFE OMG. They held a "Tour de Nerdfighting" event at the public library (omg how nerdy XD). It was kind of a surreal experience, half of me was like "OMFG I'M IN THE SAME ROOM AS JOHN & HANK!!!" while the other half was like "these are my people, my friends" because they ARE like they have shared a huge part of their lives with us and it was just like "hey we are all hanging out here joking around and having fun"

i just spend like seriously five hours going through my files and moving stuff on to my hard drive, deleting stuff, then moving all the music into itunes since i finally decided to give in and download it. then, because i'm obsessive compulsive about these certain things, i went through and found album covers for everything (right now i'm at 62 albums). and the thing about it is that this is only like 25% of my music collection, because i moved alot of my music off my computer to make room a while ago, so now i have to decide what i want to move back on.


yeah, there went my day for working on my china research paper that's due tuesday. oh well, i still have time.

mmmmm... peach gummies are delicious. kasugai peach gummies to be exact. when i go to Japan i'll probably eat them all the time, i can't stop eating them now lol XD 

so today was epic greatness. the sun was shining. sensei is out of town (i'm guessing) so we went to language lab for class and just watched a movie and screwed around on the computers. i got a high B on my buddhism paper that i thought was total crap for asian religion, i was rather shocked actually hehe. aaannnnddd~ my paper for fiction class got moved back to monday which is amazing because i have to also present on wednesday, and that means i have to provide a handout for the class which is added work. my good karma has really been working out in my favor lately. but i guess i could have gone to music class today instead of skipping so that i could work on stuff for fiction, haha oops... well she didn't tell us till after! so yeah... 

the only real fail was that my new power cord that i ordered for my laptop, since my other one is going to die like any minute seriously, hasn't come in the mail yet. hopefully tomorrow!

so i guess i get to screw around tonight, tomorrow i have to do my handout and study vocabulary since wednesday we had a vocab. test. over the weekend i have to write a paper,  start reading the next novel for fiction, and start thinking about my class projects that are coming up pretty fast. 

hmmm what shall i make for dinner...
